Ola Toivonen has claimed PSV Eindhoven’s asking price of 14 million euros is putting off other clubs from negotiating with the Dutch giants.
Sweden international Toivonen has been linked with a move to clubs such as Newcastle United, Borussia Moenchengladbach and Rubin Kazan.
However, a transfer is yet to materialise, and the attacker believes the Eredivisie side’s hefty demands are not helping his chances of moving on.
“PSV’s asking price is a bit unreasonable in my opinion,” Toivonen was quoted as saying by Fotbollskanalen.
“Of course, I would like to make the next step in my career. I have always been honest about that. I am keeping my options open.
“However, I would not feel bad about it if I stayed at PSV for another season.”
The 26-year-old has a contract with Eredivisie giants PSV until June 2014.
