BBC Sport has learned that Everton midfielder Tom Cleverley is set to join Watford in the January transfer window.
The two clubs have agreed on a loan deal, with the 27-year-old expected to undergo a medical during the day.
It was at Vicarage Road that Cleverley played the best football of his career, scoring 13 goals in 48 Championship appearances back when he was making a name for himself at Manchester United.
The experienced footballer has since represented Aston Villa and Everton, but after starting just four league matches for the Toffees this term, he was allowed to leave in search of regular playing time.
Tom Cleverley made a total of 32 Premier League appearances for Everton, scoring 2 goals.
The midfielder has 13 England caps to his name, but he last represented the Three Lions back in September 2013, although he did play for the Great Britain team at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
