Tom Tomsk no match for Spartak Moscow

Spartak Moscow delivered an impressive performance to beat Tom Tomsk 5-0 and move back into second place in the Russian Premier League.

Czech defender Martin Jiranek put Spartak ahead after 15 minutes in the Russian capital, and Pavel Yakoklev made it 2-0 ten minutes later.

Egor Filipenko added a third with a few minutes to go in the first half, and second-half goals from Eldar Nizamutdinov and Quincy Owusu-Abeyie set the score to 5-0.

The gap with league leaders Rubin Kazan is reduced to four points with seven games to go.
