According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori is close to completing a move to AC Milan.
Tomori has been out on loan with Milan since back in January and even helped them qualify for the Champions League. Now, the Italian club are preparing to activate a £25 million option that was present in their loan agreement with the Blues.
Tomori was given a shot to succeed at Chelsea under the tutelage of Frank Lampard but after falling out of favour, he’s now ready for a new chapter with Milan.
Chelsea, who are now European champions, will want to do everything in their power to build on the success they enjoyed last season with Thomas Tuchel. If that means Tomori isn’t going to feature into their plans and they go searching for another defender, then we’re pretty sure all parties involved would be happy enough with that decision.
