PSV midfielder Kevin Strootman will not be leaving the Eindhoven club in January, according to his agent.
Strootman has been in impressive form in the first half of the 2011-12 campaign, and has reportedly aroused the interest of clubs such as Bayern Munich, Liverpool and Inter Milan.
However, his agent Chiel Dekker has ruled out a January transfer as he feels Strootman is not ready for the next step in his career just yet.
“Kevin will definitely finish the season at PSV. There haven’t been any concrete offers yet, but even if that happens, he will not leave the club,” Dekker said to Voetbal International.
“He has only been playing at this level for six months and it wouldn’t be a wise decision to make the next step already.”
The 21-year-old Strootman has a contract with PSV until June 2016.
