Liverpool’s goals for this season have changed dramatically over the course of the season. As midfielder Fabinho admits, they aimed for the trophies at the start, following the Premier League title they won so convincingly last time around. But now, after all the injuries and the drop in form, finishing inside the top four and qualifying for the Champions League would be success enough for the Merseysiders.
At the moment, Liverpool hold their fate in their own hands. They face West Bromwich Albion later today (Sunday), then Burnley, and Crystal Palace on the final matchday, and if they win all three matches, they are almost certain to finish in the top four.
