The Russian Premier League has come to an end. Rubin Kazan and CSKA Moscow finish first and second respectively. Dinamo secure the third place and Amkar Perm are fourth.
On the final day of the season, champions Rubin Kazan lost 1-2 to Lokomotiv Moscow. Odemwingie put the Muscovites ahead in the 15th minute but Bukharov levelled in the 34th. The winning goal came from Lokomotiv’s Glushakov just before full time.
CSKA Moscow had their second place already secured and a 1-0 defeat by Shinnik Yaroslav makes little difference. Buznikin scored the only goal on 34 minutes.
Dinamo Moscow beat Tom Tomsk 2-0 with two goals from Kerzhakov (one penalty) to clinch third place. Amkar Perm were too strong for Khimki (3-1) and finish in fourth place, three points ahead of Zenit St Petersburg.
