(GSM) – The entire top three in the Brazilian Serie A drop points on Saturday as Fluminense, Corinthians and Cruzeiro were all held to draws.
Leaders Fluminense played away to Gremio Prudente and initially went ahead through Rodriguinho in the 33rd minute. Willian Jose leveled in the 71st minute however, and 1-1 would end up being the final score.
Corinthians struggled to a 2-2 draw against Ceara after conceding goals from Marcelo Nicacio (17th) and Magno Alves (65th).
Paulinho scored back for the Sao Paulo side in the 70th minute and Matias Defederico completed the come-back 13 minutes later, 2-2.
Corinthians remain at three points from Fluminense but have a game in hand.
Third-placed Cruzeiro failed to take advantage of the top two slipping up, being held to a goalless draw themselves by Atletico Paranaense.
The only top four side to win on Saturdya was Internacional, who beat Guarani 3-0 with goals from Daniel Henrique, Glaydson and Giuliano.
