Serie A outfit Torino are in advanced talks with Red Star forward Luka Jovic, according to the player’s representative.
The 17-year-old has already shown a great deal of potential in Serbia’s top flight, scoring 11 goals in just 15 starts, but it looks as though he will soon be leaving the club.
Namely, Red Star have already sold a big portion of the player’s rights to an investment company, meaning that Jovic is unlikely to remain in Belgrade for too long.
And it appears that Torino have emerged as the favourites for his signature, with Granata reportedly ready to submit a €5 million offer for the youngster’s services.
Nikola Lazetic, former Torino winger and an agent working as an intermediary in the transfer, has suggested that the deal could soon be wrapped up.
“We have spoken with Torino representatives in Belgrade. The Jovic deal is already in the works,” Lazetic told Tuttosport.
“The talks have been progressing really well. However, the problem is that clubs from England are also keen on Jovic.”
Despite struggling for playing time of late, Jovic has continued to prove his worth in a Red Star shirt, although it will not be easy for him to make the step up with so little senior experience.
