Serie A outfit Torino have moved to confirm a permanent deal for former Lyon stopper Nicolas N’Koulou.
The Cameroon defender had joined Granata on a season-long loan for €500,000 with an option for buy for €3.5 million last summer.
N’Koulou has since impressed in Italian Serie A, making 30 appearances and scoring 2 goals, and Torino chairman Urbano Cairo has now revealed said purchase clause was triggered automatically.
“The transfer of N’Koulou? It is automatic according to the number of matches played, so I can say that he will remain in Turin,” Cairo told Il Corriere dello Sport.
N’Koulou is now back on the radar of top European club after an impressive campaign with Torino, as PSG, Lazio and Inter Milan are all keen on his services.
