Serie A high-flyers Torino are showing interest in Bologna midfielder Panagiotis Kone, reports Tuttosport.
Granata were hoping to extend Omar El Kaddouri’s loan for another year, but with Napoli asking between €1.5m and €2m for a season-long loan, they have been forced to turn to other targets.
As a result, Torino officials have switched their attention to Bologna hotshot Panagiotis Kone, who is almost certain to remain in Serie A despite his side getting relegated.
The 26-year-old has been putting in some strong performances over the last couple of years and Granata chiefs believe he would be a great addition to the squad.
Another positive is that he should be available at a reasonable price, although few other Serie A sides are expected to join the race.
After picking up a hamstring injury in the Ivory Coast game, Kone will not be able to help Greece in the Last 16 stage clash against Costa Rica, where Ethniki are 19/20 to qualify for the quarter-finals.
