Torino searching for defensive reinforcements

Serie A outfit Torino are in the market for defensive reinforcements, a report in Tuttosport has suggested.

Granata have been showing signs of promise under new coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and they are expected to further strengthen their ranks in the January window.

Torino currently have plenty of defensive issues due to injuries to Danilo Avelar and Cristian Molinaro, while Cesare Bovo and Emiliano Moretti are not getting any younger.

As a result, Granata officials are expected to rekindle their interest in a number of targets ahead of the January transfer window.

Sampdoria defender Vasco Regini has been on their radar for quite some time, while Napoli reject Ivan Strinic is believed to be a good option for the left hand side.

Torino are also looking at Domagoj Vida, Milan Mitrovic and Thomas Heurtaux, so everything suggests that the club representatives will be quite busy during the winter transfer window.
