According to a recent report from Sky Italia, Torino are indeed expected to exercise the £9 million option that will see them sign Chelsea defender Ola Aina on a permanent basis. The 22 year old as been on loan with the club throughout the course of the season, and has certainly put in a string of impressive performances along the way. It’s no secret that the Blues have far too many players currently out on loan, and given some of their issues when it comes to their transfer ban, it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see them lower their wage bill just a little by agreeing to sell Aina to Torino.
Either way this feels like a deal that is destined to go through, and it has been that way ever since the idea of a permanent move was first floated around.
Now, it’s just a case of convincing Chelsea to make the sale – which shouldn’t be too hard.
