With a real chance to climb to the top of the National League table in midweek, Torquay will make the trip to the Electrical Services Stadium on Tuesday night.

Throwing away the lead on home soil, Tuesday’s hosts were hit with a 2-1 defeat at home against Woking and should be in for another tough test at the Electrical Services Stadium.

As for the visitors, while Aldershot might be drastically struggling to find any real signs of stability, Torquay find the mood in their camp at a real high. Desperate to get back their Football League status this time around, the Gulls managed to extend on their own FA Cup adventure thanks to a routine 2-0 victory away at Sholing and former Yeovil boss Gary Johnson finds his side in the midst of a four-match winning run across all competitions. Now with just their goal difference stopping them from leapfrogging Stockport to top spot, Torquay were last seen on National League duties picking up a 2-0 win against Dover and there is no doubt that they will be hugely confident of cashing in on their purple patch in Hampshire.
