Torreira doesn’t want Atletico Madrid exit

According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Lucas Torreira is not considering leaving Atletico Madrid during the January transfer window.

This is despite his lack of time in the starting XI as of late, and it’s also despite the fact that he has been heavily linked with a move away from the Spanish giants. Arsenal themselves don’t seem particularly interested in seeing this deal come to a premature end, but if it does, you can bet they’ll try and ship him back out again based on just how congested the Gunners’ squad is right now.

Torreira hasn’t really received a fair crack of the whip during his tenure with Atletico up to this point and you could even make the argument that he didn’t get that at the Emirates either, and yet, he’s still committed to trying to make it work – which gives you an idea as to the sort of player that he is.
