Torreira wants to leave Arsenal

According to a recent report from Calciomercato, Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira has requested that the club listens to offers for him during the upcoming January transfer window. The Uruguay international has been unable to sustain his strong start to life in England from last season, and now, he seems set to make his return to Italian football – with one notable club that is interested being AC Milan. 

Milan’s interest in Torreira has been well documented in the past, but now it finally seems as if it’s going to become a reality. The Italian side have struggled to make all too many waves in Serie A over the last few years, but perhaps a signing like Torreira is exactly what they need to get them back on track. 

Arsenal once positioned Torreira as the priority midfielder within their ranks, but that soon came to an end after a less than stellar run of form.
