The agent of Chelsea forward Fernando Torres has moved to deny reports that his client is looking to leave the club at the end of the season.
The Spaniard was recently linked with a mega-money move to Russian Premier League side Anzhi, but it looks as though he will be staying at Stamford Bridge after all.
Torres appears to have finally managed to earn a regular starting berth at Chelsea and his representative claims that the Spaniard intends to honour his four-year deal with the Blues.
“Fernando intends to complete the four-year contract with Chelsea and he is much happier and enjoying more opportunities under Di Matteo,” Antonio Sanz, representative of Bahia Internacional agency told El Mundo Deportivo.
Following some dismal performances in the first part of the season, Torres managed to rediscover his form of late and is currently considered a first choice striker at Stamford Bridge.
The Spaniard has started three of Chelsea’s last four games in all competitions, scoring a brace against Leicester and setting up Kalou for the winner in the Champions League clash with Benfica.
