Fernando Torres suffered an injury scare training with the Spain squad on Wednesday, but the problem is not thought to be serious
The Liverpool striker abandoned the training session as a precautionary measure when he pulled up with a groin problem, but was later able to exercise on his own in the gym.
Torres should be fit for Spain’s World Cup qualifying double-header against Armenia and Bosnia-Herzegovina which is good news for coach Vicente del Bosque, who is already without Valencia forward David Villa who pulled out of the squad earlier this week with a hamstring injury.
Fenerbahce striker Daniel Guiza is also a doubt for the game meaning Torres is likely to start for Spain.
Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez will be keen for Spain to take care with Torres’ fitness as he will want his star striker available for the clash with Sunderland after the international break.
