Liverpool are considering a move for former striker Fernando Torres, according to Daily Star.
The Spain international is currently a quarter of the way into a two-year loan at Milan, but the Italian giants are ready to cut the deal short after failing to impress.
He has scored just one goal in ten appearances for the Rossoneri, and looks to have little chance of appearing for Chelsea again with Diego Costa, Didier Drogba and Fernando Torres ahead of him in the pecking order.
With Daniel Sturridge still out injured and Mario Balotelli scoring just twice since he arrived from the San Siro in the summer, the Liverpool are crying out for a new goal scorer and will be hopeful that should a deal for Torres materialise.
The 30 year old scored eighty-two goals in one hundred and forty-two appearances in all competitions for the Reds prior to his British transfer record move to Stamford Bridge in January 2011.
