Torres to stay at Barcelona?

According to a recent report from Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona sensation Ferran Torres is unlikely to sign for Arsenal.

The 22-year-old only arrived at the Nou Camp earlier this year from Manchester City and yet, there’s already been talk of him jetting off elsewhere – with the favoured option being a switch back to English football.

Arsenal have reportedly been exploring the possibility of bringing the youngster into the Emirates but as per this report, Torres still maintains the trust of manager Xavi, which could well be enough to ensure he stays on the books and is able to continue fighting for his place in the starting XI.

Arsenal made a string of impressive signings during the summer transfer window but now, it’s already time to start looking ahead to January.

They currently sit at the top of the Premier League table and if they want to stay there, someone like Torres could really steady them up.
