Tottenham 1/4 to beat Everton in Saturday’s Premier League showdown

Competition: Premier League

Market: Tottenham to beat Everton

Odds: 1/4 @ Bet365

The Premier League continues this weekend with another round of games that should provide no end to the excitement and intrigue of England’s top division. With the competition simmering away nicely, every side will want to pick up all three points for their cause, and with this in mind, Tottenham host Everton on Saturday.

Tottenham have been in fairly good form of late and they are looking to take a Champions League spot for next season. After 22 games they have won 12, drawn five and lost five, while they have scored 42 goals and conceded 21 times. In their last five they have won three, drawn once and lost once, which has helped the London side onto 41 points for the season so far. Spurs are a massive 21 points short of Manchester City at the top, meaning their season-objective will be to claim a Champions League spot.

Everton on the other hand have been struggling recently and they are in need of a win to turn their slump around. After 22 games the Toffees have won seven, drawn six and lost nine times, while they have scored 25 goals and conceded 34 times. In their last five games they have just one win, while they have lost twice and drawn twice, meaning they have picked up 27 points this season. Following a tough start, the fans would have been happy to be away from the relegation zone, but expectation will have risen again, and Everton need to kick on to meet it. With all of this in mind, we are backing Tottenham with odds of 1/4 from Bet365.
