Tottenham Hotspur travel to the Tofiq Bahramov Stadium to face FK Qarabag in the Europa League on Thursday evening, and are big favourites to comfortably dispatch of their Azerbaijan opposition. Spurs are coming off the back of fantastic domestic form, and could book their place in the knockouts with victory in Qarabag’s backyard.

Top of Group J after four games, Tottenham are in great shape to come away with a win, and enjoyed a 3-1 win in the reverse fixture. Mauricio Pochettino’s side did struggle early on in the competition, but a recent win against Anderlecht sees their European campaign back on track. Second-placed AS Monaco are hot on their heels in the table, but Spurs could qualify if results go their way in game week five.

In the Premier League this season, the Londoners have been in fantastic form. Three wins and a draw from their last four games in the division will strike fear into a Qarabag side having struggled in the group. The home side are the lowest scorers in the group so far, but have picked up four points from six on home soil. As a result, Tottenham may have to be patient against an organised side, but the Lilywhites have been hard to keep quiet of late.

Tottenham have scored 13 goals in their last four Premier League games, most notably hitting five past Bournemouth and four past West Ham United. They’re one of the most athletically fit teams in Europe, and will cover great distances on Thursday night. While unbeaten at home in the Europa League this season, Qarabag could suffer defeat to Tottenham this week.
