Competition: Premier League
Market: Tottenham to win against Sunderland
Odds: 19/20 @ Bet 365

Sunderland welcome the visit of Tottenham to the Stadium of Light this weekend, with both sides still waiting for their first Premier League win of the new season. The pair are languishing in the bottom-half of the table, and are desperate to pick up maximum points to climb into the top-half, so Sunday’s clash promises to be a competitive affair.

Tottenham are favourites to come out on top, with the Londoners having been in fine display in recent weeks. They have picked up three consecutive draws in the Premier League against Stoke City, Leicester City and Everton, and have an impressive recent record against Sunderland in the division. They have been promising a win for some weeks too, while their opponents have been happy to take less.

Three wins and two draws from their last five meetings against the Black Cats sees Tottenham boasting a good head-to-head run, and the poor form of Sunderland could well see them coming unstuck in their own backyard. Bottom of the Premier League after four games, while having the worst defensive record in the division, the Black Cats aren’t in the best shape to get a result.

Dick Advocaat’s men did pick up draws against Swansea and Aston Villa, but their backline are still struggling to stem the tide in games. Tottenham have a strong attack, and have been creating chances which aren‘t being taken. Striker Harry Kane could be a key player for the Londoners this weekend, with the youngster having scored two goals on international duty for England.
