Tottenham 21/10 to beat Real Madrid in Wednesday’s Champions League showdown

Competition: Champions League

Market: Tottenham to beat Real Madrid

Odds: 21/10 @ Bet365

The Champions League continues on Wednesday evening as Europe’s top competition enters its fourth week. Tuesday’s games threw up all manner of odd results, with Chelsea being hammered 3-0 by Roma perhaps the most surprising. The most high-profile game of the week sees Tottenham host Real Madrid at Wembley, with two of Europe’s biggest teams locking horns.

Tottenham have been in good form in the Champions League this season and they look like a very good bet to make it out of the group. After three games they sit at the top of Group H with seven points, having scored seven goals, conceding just two. It is clear that they are strong both going forward and at the back, with the London side shaking off their awful European campaign last season to lead the group at this vital stage.

Real Madrid have also been impressive this term, dispatching Borussia Dortmund and Apoel Nicosia in the process. A 1-1 draw with Tottenham in Spain last time around halted their progress, but they will know that a win at Wembley will see them take control of the group. Incredibly, the two sides have identical records going into the games, winning two games and drawing the other, while they have both scored seven times and picked the ball out of the back of their own net twice. This game is likely to be incredibly tight, but Bet365 are giving Spurs odds of 21/10 to beat Real Madrid on Wednesday.
