According to a recent report form Daily Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur are in a battle with Aston Villa over Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie.
The 23-year-old American has long since been tipped as someone who could have a successful career in Europe. While he’s done well up to this point, it appears as if the Old Lady are happy to let him explore new options – likely in the Premier League.
It comes as rumours continue to circulate regarding the future of Aaron Ramsey in Turin. Newcastle are invested in the idea of making a move for him in January, showcasing just how serious Juventus are about the idea of a complete reboot in the middle of the park.
Spurs and Villa, as we know, are both entering new eras with Antonio Conte and Steven Gerrard at the helm. It’s not yet clear as to how both men will operate in the transfer market but if these reports are to be believed, they’re going to try and make a statement.
