Tottenham announce USA tour plans

Tottenham Hotspur have announced they will spend their pre-season touring America, taking in games against LA Galaxy and New York Red Bulls.

The north London club will come face-to-face with former striker Robbie Keane when they meet Galaxy at the Home Depot Center on July 24.

They will then come up against Arsenal legend Thierry Henry as they face the New York Red Bulls a week later in the New York Invitational Cup.

Chairman Daniel Levy expressed his delight that Tottenham’s American supporters will get a chance to see their idols up close.

“This tour presents us with a great opportunity to give something back to those fans,” he said.

Spurs have previously visited America in their 2010 pre-season tour, when they played San Jose Earthquakes and the Red Bulls.
