The rumours that Giovani dos Santos will join Tottenham have not stopped since the summer started, but now the possibility that the Mexican youngster will join Suprs is starting to look more and more like a reality.
The player’s father, former Brazilian footballer Zizinho, recently stated a that move to Tottenham could really benefit his son. However he also mentioned that no deal had been completed.
“Nothing has been finalised.
“But it is an honour that a club as important as Tottenham want to sign Giovani, but nothing can be said officially yet.
“Tottenham’s ambitious plans have excited Giovani and he just wants to go there and help the team in any way he can.
“It is obvious that leaving Barcelona is a risky decision, but with his qualities it appears that it could be the best option for him.” Said Zizinho, according to the Daily Mail.
The same Daily Mail believes that a deal could be struck with Barcelona for about £9 million with £6 million paid up front and another £3 million based on performance. The deal is expected to be completed by the end of this week.
