Tottenham Hotspur could be signing a player! That might sound as the most common thing, especially in modern football, but considering Spurs have not bought a single player during 2018-19 season, this is news. And that player could be Layvin Kurzawa.
Spurs have identified Paris Saint-Germain defender as a summer transfer target, as the Frenchman has only one year remaining until the end of his contract. Calciomercato claim that could be the biggest reason for this deal to happen, as Spurs have been known for waiting to secure deals, especially if they are potential bargain deals.
Layvin Kurzawa is not playing much this season, as he fell in the squad pecking order following the arrival of Thomas Tuchel. The German coach has not been impressed with Kurzawa, who was used to playing on the left flank of a back four, but now Tuchel has often opted for a three-man defence. That meant Presnel Kimpembe was ahead of him, as a natural centre-back and Kurzawa was limited to just four Ligue 1 starts this season.
