According to AS, Tottenham Hotspur could end up missing out on signing Hector Herrera. It’s no secret that Spurs have failed to make much of a splash in the transfer market as of late, with their inability to sign anyone in the summer being viewed as a big red flag for their fans. Still, they were hoping to land Porto midfielder Herrera on a free contract, but their pursuit of him has just taken a knock.
The reason for that is because in addition to Spurs and Inter Milan, who were also interested, Real Madrid and Roma have now entered the race. While this is all great news for Herrera who will likely have his pick of clubs once the time comes for him to make a decision, Spurs will be just left to hope that they can lure a big name in at some point in the next few months.
