According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, Tottenham Hotspur could be interested in the possibility of re-signing veteran forward Fernando Llorente this summer. The 34 year old is currently a free agent in the wake of his contract expiring at the end of June, with the club reportedly offering him a new one year deal. It’s no secret that a number of clubs have voiced their interest in signing Llorente, but up to this point, there’s been no confirmation one way or the other.
Llorente scored a handful of important goals towards the second half of last season with Tottenham, including the winner against Manchester City in the Champions League.
Despite that a lot of fans feel like Spurs should instead be focusing their attention on stars of the future, as continue to try and make a run for a trophy under the guidance of Mauricio Pochettino next season.
