Tottenham end pursuit of Grealish

According to Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur will not be putting in another bid for Jack Grealish on Deadline Day. The 22-year-old midfielder has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs throughout the course of the summer transfer window, but it now seems as if the youngster will instead be leading the Villa midfield as they attempt to gain promotion back to the Premier League.

Tottenham have reportedly been told that Grealish isn’t available at any price after their second bid of £25 million was turned down. Many Spurs fans will likely see this as a blow, especially given that they haven’t made any real moves in the window this year.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are around 48 hours away from their opening game of the new Premier League season, as they prepare to take on a Newcastle United side who could wind up posing them all kinds of problems at St James’ Park.
