Premier League runners-up Tottenham are ready to splash out in the summer transfer market in order to boost their squad in effort to make a step further next season and make a bigger claim on the Premier League title.
Tottenham cannot compete with the likes of Manchester City, United and Chelsea in financial terms, but Mauricio Pochettino has already drawn up a list of transfer targets that fit his price range but exceed the value with quality.
As Spurs face proper challenge in race for Wilfried Zaha, Ross Barkley and Michael Kane, who are all expected to command a huge interest from Premier League giants, Tottenham have set their sights on Ajax duo Davy Klassen and Joel Veltman, according to reports from the Telegraph.
Ajax attacking midfielder Davy Klassen has been in formidable form this season, guiding his team to Europa League final, whereas versatile defender Joel Veltman is another notable player at the Dutch powerhouse.
Veltman’s contract with Ajax expires in 12 months and Tottenham are confident they would be able to work out an affordable deal for the talented duo.
