Tottenham eyeing Behrami move

TalkSport understands that Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race to sign Napoli midfielder Valon Behrami.

The 29 year old, who had a two-and-a-half year spell in the Premier League with West Ham United prior to moving to Italy, has made just sixteen Serie A starts under Rafael Benitez so far this season.

A fee of £10m has been quoted for the Switzerland international, who also been linked with a move to Everton, and has three years remaining on his current contract.

Internationally, he has won forty-four full caps, scoring two goals, and is expected to feature at this summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil.

Manchester United’s 1-0 defeat to Sunderland on Saturday afternoon means that Spurs need just a point to guarantee qualification for next season’s Europa League, though their fate could also be decided tomorrow evening when the reigning champions face FA Cup finalists Hull City at Old Trafford.
