Tottenham eyeing Di Maria
Spanish daily newspaper AS has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur are lining up a summer bid for Real Madrid star Angel Di Maria.
Spurs plan to offload summer signing Erik Lamela, who is wanted in Italy, and use the money from his sale to launch an assault on the Real winger.
Angel Di Maria has a contract until June 2018 at Santiago Bernabeu, but it is believed he is not entirely satisfied with his status at the club.
Carlo Ancelotti values the Argentine highly and he blocked his attempt to depart in January, but Di Maria could still be leaving in the summer.
The 26-year-old has been in fine form this season, having managed 3 goals and 6 assists in 22 La Liga outings.
Real Madrid are locked in the battle for the league title with arch rivals Barcelona and Atletico, with los Blancos priced at 7/5 to win outright.
Dortmund set to sign Adrian Ramos
Borussia Dortmund are set to complete the deal to sign Colombian striker Adrian Ramos from Hertha Berlin, reports L’Equipe.
The Millionaires were on the lookout for a new striker after Robert Lewandowski announced he would be joining Bayern Munich, and the search appears to be over.
According to L’Equipe, Dortmund have agreed a €12 million deal to sign Adrian Ramos in the summer, with the Colombian set to put pen to paper on a four-year deal.
Even if Hertha Berlin officials are adamant nothing has been agreed just yet, it is expected that the transfer will be made official in the coming days.
Adrian Ramos has spent last four and a half years in Berlin, having joined the club from America de Cali.
The interesting thing is he is currently tied with none other than Robert Lewandowski in the Bundesliga top scorers chart, having bagged 14 goals in 21 league outings this season.
Porto and Benfica battle for Rusescu
Sevilla striker Raul Rusescu is on the radar of FC Porto and Benfica, according to the player’s official representative.
The Romanian was loaned to Sporting Braga in January following a disappointing start to his career in La Liga, and he has largely impressed in Portugal.
Rusescu went on to score six goals in his first ten appearances for the club, proving to be the only bright spot in an otherwise disappointing period for the club.
It is important to note that Sporting Braga have the option to buy out his contract for €3 million, and they look set to activate the clause before selling him on for profit.
Rusescu’s agent Ioan Becali has revealed that FC Porto and Benfica could be making a move on his client in the summer.
“Benfica and Porto seem to be interested in him and SC Braga may exercise the option to buy and then sell him,” Becali told Romanian TV station Dolce Sport.
Prior to joining Sevilla, the 25-year-old played for Unirea Urziceni and Steaua Bucuresti in his native Romania.
