Daily Mirror has suggested that Tottenham Hotspur are set to return with a new bid for Southampton star Morgan Schneiderlin.

Spurs were desperate to sign the French midfielder in the summer transfer window, but ultimately failed in their quest having had three bids in the region of £20 million rejected.

Having already cashed in on a number of star players, the Saints didn’t want to lose another key footballer and Schneiderlin remained at St Mary’s.

However, Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino wants to see the Frenchman at White Hart Lane and is set to launch a fresh assault in January.

Despite asking the club to allow him to move on, Schneiderlin has impressed at the start of the new season, scoring 3 goals in 4 league appearances while playing full 90 minutes for France in a friendly against Serbia.

Southampton play Swansea away next weekend and the Saints are available at 19/10 to win at Liberty Stadium.
