London Evening Standard is reporting that Tottenham could make a January move on Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.
Spurs first need to offload Emmanuel Adebayor, who clearly does not have a future at White Hart Lane, with his £100,000 weekly wage proving to be quite a strain on the budget.
Clubs from Turkey and Russia have been showing interest in the Togolese striker, but it remains to be seen if they can reach an agreement over the personal terms with the player.
Meanwhile, Andre Villas-Boas is prepared to offer Javier Hernandez an escape route from Old Trafford as the Mexican is clearly not in the first team plans of David Moyes.
The 25-year-old is likely to be interested in a move away from the club having made just three league appearances this season.
His suitors Tottenham are no longer odds-on favourites to achieve a top 4 finish, with the odds having drifted to 11/8 following the shock defeat to West Ham.
