Tottenham eyeing Mustafi bid

Tottenham Hotspur are readying a move for Valencia’s World Cup winning defender Shkodran Mustafi, according to the Metro.

The 22 year old only moved to the La Liga outfit in the summer, but has already been linked with a move away with Borussia Dortmund also interested.

Having begun his career with Everton, Mustafi moved to Sampdoria in the summer of 2012, moving on after two seasons.

His one and only appearance for the Toffee’s came as a substitute in a Europa League defeat to Belarusian side BATE Borisov in December 2009 while he has been capped six times for his country with three of those outings coming at last summer’s World Cup finals in Brazil.

Spurs, who face Chelsea in next month’s League Cup final and currently sit sixth in the Premier League, turn their attention to their Europa League Round of 32 first leg against Fiorentina tomorrow and can be backed at 23/20 to win the game.
