The Daily Star understand that Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race to sign Fulham full-back Ryan Sessegnon.
The teenager is in demand after staring for the London club this season, helping them secure a top six finish after taking sixteen points from their final six games only to lose to Reading in the semi-finals of the play-offs.
He made his debut in a 1-1 draw with Leeds United last August and went on to play twenty-six times, scoring five goals – a haul that includes a brace in a 3-1 win at champions Newcastle United in March.
Tottenham are on the lookout for a new left sided defender with current first-choice Danny Rose strongly linked with a move to Manchester United.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side finished in second place – seven points behind champions Chelsea last term and can be backed at a price of 8/1 to go one better and win the division in 2018.
