According to Setantasports.com, Tottenham Hotspurs have cast their eyes over Spartak Moscow’s Russian international striker, Roman Pavlyuchenko.
Russian daily Sport Express claims Spurs’ sporting director Damien Comolli, travelled to Moscow recently and saw Pavlyuchenko in action against CSKA.
After the game, it is reported that Comolli met the striker’s agent Oleg Artyomov who confirmed the club’s interest in the 26-year-old.
With Dimitar Berbatov apparently looking to join Manchester United, Robbie Keane becoming a target for Liverpool and Darren Bent being courted by Sunderland, Spurs are expected to sign at least one frontline striker this summer for certain and after an impressive Euro, Pavyluchenko could fit the bill.
