Tottenham go after Lingard

According to a recent report from Daily Telegraph, Jesse Lingard is a wanted man with Tottenham Hotspur entering the race to sign him.

Now that Lingard will be making his exit from Manchester United, probably for the final time, he’s open to exploring a whole host of new possibilities. The Englishman is still believed to be somewhat leaning towards a return to West Ham United, the club that treated him so well and allowed him to have so much success when he went there on loan.

The Hammers are said to be feeling confident that they’ve done enough to get their man, but that hasn’t deterred Spurs from getting involved too.

Antonio Conte wants to build a squad that is more than capable of challenging for the top four again nd potentially even higher, and Lingard is the sort of player that can slot straight into a variety of different roles at any given time.
