According to a recent report from Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur have held talks with Inter Milan over the signing of Milan Skriniar.
The report indicates that the two clubs are still some distance off in their valuation of him, with Inter wanting around €60 million in order to agree to the sale. Spurs, on the other hand, still need to get some players off of their books if they want to raise the necessary funds.
Tottenham currently value him at around 50% of the asking price which is obviously going to create quite the stumbling block – for now, at least.
Jose Mourinho has been a busy man during the summer transfer window and as the deadline looms large, it doesn’t seem as if he’s quite done yet.
There are defensive problems that need to be sorted out in North London and that much is just obvious, but Skriniar may not be the answer.
