Tottenham go after Under

According to reports in Italy, Tottenham Hotspur have joined the race to sign Cengiz Under. The 22 year old Roma star has been turning heads for a long time now and really does appear to be entering his prime, which has peaked the interest of not just Spurs – but also Bayern Munich and Barcelona.

Tottenham are willing to pay up to £52 million in order to bring the Turkish star over to North London, but given that kind of valuation, you’d have to assume that Bayern and Barca would also be more than willing to stump up that kind of cash.

It’ll all be about the quality of the offer if those two clubs do end up matching Spurs, and despite their smaller stature, they’ve got a great future and that could tempt Under.

If it doesn’t, though, then staying at Roma could be a possibility provided they offer him some reassurances regarding his potential future earnings.
