Tottenham go after Zaniolo

According to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport, Tottenham Hotspur have put forward an intriguing bid of around £40 million in order to complete the signing of Roma youngster Nicolo Zaniolo. The 19 year old has been turning heads for the Serie A side ever since he made his debut last year, enjoying one of the best breakout years that we’ve seen in quite some time. He made the jump from Inter Milan where he failed to make much of an impact, but now that Roma have put their trust in him, he is well and truly off to the races.

Spurs are in real need of some signings as has been well established, as they failed to make any kind of impact during last year’s summer transfer window. Now, though, it really does seem like Mauricio Pochettino is in a position where he can spend some significant money with Spurs.
