Tottenham Hotspur host Fiorentina at White Hart Lane this evening in the second leg of their Europa League last-32 clash, and are favourites to progress in their own backyard with the two sides having cancelled each other out in Florence.
Drawing the first leg in Italy, Tottenham will progress to the last-16 with a goalless draw tonight or any form of victory in 90 minutes. They will be without some key players through injury, however, but have defied critics all through the campaign so they shouldn’t be ruled out.
Spurs’ impressive performance in the first leg will give them confidence of delivering with home advantage too, so manager Mauricio Pochettino will fancy his chances of a result despite having some players missing.
As for Fiorentina, the Italian Serie A outfit are no slouches. Currently third in the division, the Violas are a team to be wary of if Tottenham aren’t at their best. However, Spurs are taking the competition seriously this season and they’ve impressed every step of the way so far.
