Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Ozan Kabak from Schalke in the January transfer window, according to Sky Germany. AC Milan are also reported to be interested in securing the services of Kabak and have made the best offer. However, according to the report, the defender prefers a switch to the Premier League, with Liverpool also eyeing a move for the 20-year-old.
Liverpool could do with a new central defender, at least for the short term. Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez are unlikely to play again this season, while Joel Matip is also on the sidelines at the moment. Fabinho, who is a defensive midfielder by trade, is now the senior-most centre-back in the Reds’ team.
Kabak is only 20 years of age, but he has a growing reputation and has a lot of potential. The youngster has played seven times for the Turkey football team already and is a regular for Stuttgart in Germany.
