Tottenham Hotspur could bid for Nottingham Forest star Brennan Johnson

Tottenham Hotspur could make a late bid for Nottingham Forest forward Brennan Johnson, according to The Sun. The report in the British tabloid has claimed that Spurs are considering making an offer for Johnson in the final days of the summer transfer window. Forest are bracing themselves for an offer from Tottenham.

Spurs, though, are not the only club who are interested in signing the 22-year-old Wales international. Chelsea, West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Brentford all are keen on Johnson. Forest value the youngster at £50 million. It remains to be seen if Tottenham are willing to pay the £50 million that they need to get a deal done.

Johnson has made 41 appearances in the Premier League, scoring eight goals and providing three assists in those games. Tottenham are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season, while Forest’s main target this campaign is to avoid relegation to the Championship.
