Tottenham Hotspur do not want to sell Tanguy Ndombele in the summer transfer window, but Inter Milan are not giving up, according to The Guardian. Spurs insist that the France international midfielder is not for sale, but Italian giants Inter are still interested.
However, according to the report, whether or not Inter made an official bid for the 23-year-old depends on the future of Antonio Conte. The former Chelsea manager’s future at Inter is wrapped up in uncertainty at the moment following his recent criticism of the club’s board.
Ndombele join Tottenham from French club Lyon in the summer of 2019 for £63 million. The 23-year-old had fitness and injury problem at Spurs this past season, and was able to make just 12 starts and nine substitute appearances in the Premier League, scoring two goals and providing two assists in the process, according to WhoScored. Spurs failed to finish in the Champions League places this campaign.
