Tottenham Hotspur eye Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak

Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Jan Oblak from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2023, according to Marca. The Spanish publication has reported that Premier League club Tottenham have a good relationship with La Liga outfit Atletico, having loaned out right-back Matt Doherty to the Spanish club in the January transfer, and they want to use that to get a deal done for Oblak.

Oblak is one of the best goalkeepers in the world and is at the top of his game. The 30-year-old has been on the books of Atletico since 2014. Tottenham need to sign a new goalkeeper in the summer of 2023, as Hugo Lloris is not getting any younger.

Tottenham are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 36 points from 21 matches, three points behind fourth-placed Manchester United, who have played 20 games. Meanwhile, Atletico currently find themselves fourth in the La Liga table with 34 points from 19 matches, as many as 16 points behind leaders Barcelona.
