Tottenham Hotspur eye Doucoure

Tottenham Hotspur are set to make a move for Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure, according to the Mail Online.

Mauricio Pochettino witnessed a fine performance from the twenty-five year old after he attended Monday evening’s match at Vicarage Road, where the Hornets thumped champions Chelsea by four goals to one.

Doucoure grabbed two assists in that match and is also the club’s top scorer with seven league goals so far and his form has impressed the Spurs boss.

The former France U21 international is currently in his second season in England having signed for Watford from Rennes in the summer of 2016.

In total he has racked up forty-six appearances for the club, scoring eight goals – all but one of those coming this season.

Monday’s result took Javi Gracia’s side to within a point of the top half, and they next face a trip to West Ham United with the away win priced at 2/1.
