Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Danny Ings from Premier League rivals Southampton in the summer transfer window, according to Football.London. It has been reported that Spurs are looking for a new striker to support Harry Kane, and they have identified the former Liverpool man as a potential transfer target.
However, according to the report, Tottenham believe that it would be too difficult to pull of a deal for Ings this summer. The 28-year-old joined Southampton on loan from Liverpool in the summer of 2018, and the deal was made permanent in the summer of 2019.
Ings had injury problems during his time at Liverpool, but England international has got over them now. The 28-year-old scored seven goals and provided three assists in the Premier League for the Saints during the 2018-19 campaign, and he scored 22 goals and provided two assists in the league last season, according to WhoScored.
